Aims and Scope

Journal of Public Health International (JPHI)

Our Mission

Journal of Public Health International (JPHI) serves as a leading international forum for high-quality research and innovative practices in the field of public health. Our mission is to advance public health knowledge, practices, and policies globally by providing a credible platform for the rapid dissemination of evidence-based research that addresses contemporary and emerging health challenges affecting populations worldwide.

We are committed to publishing rigorous, peer-reviewed research that informs public health interventions, shapes health policy decisions, reduces health disparities, and ultimately contributes to healthier communities across all geographic regions and socioeconomic contexts. Through our open-access model, we ensure that critical public health knowledge reaches researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and communities globally, fostering evidence-informed action and collaborative problem-solving.

Core Objectives

Advance Scientific Knowledge

Publish original research, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and evidence syntheses that expand understanding of public health phenomena, disease etiology, health determinants, intervention effectiveness, and health system performance across diverse populations and settings.

Address Contemporary Health Challenges

Focus on timely, relevant research addressing current global health priorities including pandemic preparedness, antimicrobial resistance, non-communicable diseases, mental health, health equity, climate change impacts, digital health transformation, and emerging infectious diseases.

Foster Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Encourage research that integrates perspectives from epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, social sciences, health economics, data science, clinical medicine, health policy, and related disciplines to provide comprehensive insights into complex public health problems.

Promote Health Equity

Prioritize research examining social determinants of health, health disparities, vulnerable populations, and strategies to achieve equitable access to healthcare and improved health outcomes for marginalized and underserved communities globally.

Thematic Focus Areas

JPHI welcomes high-quality submissions across the full spectrum of public health disciplines. We particularly encourage research in the following contemporary and emerging areas:
