Biography:
Dr. Amin Ataei is a dedicated medical physicist and an Assistant Professor at the Babol University of Medical Sciences in Iran. His research is centered on the precise measurement and calculation of radiation dosage in therapeutic applications, a field known as radiation dosimetry. Dr. Ataei specializes in using advanced Monte Carlo simulation techniques, particularly the MCNP code, to model and verify dose distributions for various radiotherapy modalities, including external beam therapy and brachytherapy. His work also extends to radiation protection, where he designs and evaluates novel shielding structures to ensure the safety of both patients and medical staff. Through his rigorous research, Dr. Ataei contributes to enhancing the accuracy, safety, and effectiveness of radiation treatments for cancer.
